Advance Care Planning
Advance Care Planning Day
Tuesday April 16, 2024
In conjunction with the proclamation by the City of Prince Rupert that April 16 is Advance Care Planning Day, an information table will be setup from Noon to 4pm, Tuesday 16 April in the foyer of the Northern Saving Credit Union.
This is an ideal opportunity to speak to an Advance Care Planning Trained Volunteer with any questions, or hesitations, you may have regarding making your Advance Care Plan.
If not you, WHO? Have you decided who will make decisions regarding
your health when you are unable?
Advance Care Planning knows no age limits. If you’re old enough to drive, you’re old enough to have a plan.
Medical advances have taught us how to keep people alive, but keeping people alive and living are two very different things.
Advance Care Plans aren’t just for the elderly and those who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, strokes and heart-attacks can happen to anyone at any age, as can car accidents or simple falls within your home.
Prince Rupert & District Hospice Society has trained volunteers who are able to assist with completing your Advance Care Plan should you require it.
